Marley Health - Insurance Payor Contract

Introduced in Version 16

An Insurance Payor Contract represents a formal agreement between a healthcare facility and an insurance payor. This agreement typically ensures that the facility will honor insurance policies issued by the payor to patients. It often includes predefined rates for specific services rendered by the facility.

In Marley Healthcare, the Insurance Payor Contract Doctype enables the following configurations:

  • Validity Period: Define the effective start and end dates of the agreement.
  • Price List: Associate a price list to standardize service charges as agreed upon with the payor.
  • Code Standard: Set a default code standard (e.g., ICD-10, SNOMED CT) to be used for eligibility verification, preauthorization, and other transactional queries.

It is requiired by the system that a valid Insurance Payor Contract is present for managing payor-specific service rules to record any transactions involving the Insurance Payor.
