Marley Health - Code Value
Code Value document is used to name the Code Standard and act as a container for all the medical codes which are standardized under it. For example, ICD (International Classification of Diseases) is a Code System and ICD-10 codes are alphanumeric, containing 3-7 characters. Each code is a Code Value that described a particular diagnosis in detail.
1. How to Create a Code Value
1.1 Create Codes Manually
To create a Code Value, go to:
Home > Healthcare > Masters > Code Value
- Select the Code System.
- Enter the Code in the "Code Value" field.
- Enter the standard description for the code.
- Save.
1.2 Data Import
Code Value and Descriptions can also be imported to create the "Code Value" documents, after ensuring that you have created the Code System appropriately.
2. Features
In the Patient Encounter, a practitioner can easily search and select appropriate ones from preconfigured Code Value to enable codification based on each of the services your facility offers. In many regions this is mandatory for processing Patient Insurance eligibility, claim processing and billing.
