Item Insurance Eligibility DocType is used to define and manage insurance coverage rules for specific healthcare Service or Item. This can be specific to an Insurance Payor Eligibility Plan allowing you to create different coverage eligibility for a single Insurance Payor. This document also determines any applicable discounts for a given healthcare item / Service.

Item Insurance Eligibility can be imported in bulk and will help in the process of verifying whether a patient’s insurance coverage is valid and applicable for a particular Service / Item and date of care.

To create an Item Insurance Eligibility

1. How to Create an Item Insurance Eligibility

1. Go to the Item Insurance Eligibility list and click on New.
2. Eligibility For: if Service is selected choose a Service and Service Template, else choose an Item
3. Then fill the mode of approval, Coverage Percentage, Discount Percentage and the validity details
4. Can add Insurance Payor Eligibility Plan if applicable
5. Save.
